Our library is reopening to all of our patrons on September 13. We look forward to seeing you. We care about servicing your research and information needs. Most importantly, we care about your health and safety.
In using best practices to protect members, friends, and family of the Iliff community from COVID-19 and to slow the transmission of the virus, on April 30, 2021, Iliff instituted a mandatory vaccination policy for its employees and students for the 2021-2022 academic year. We are happy to let you know that all of our employees (this includes library personnel) have provided proof of COVID vaccination.
In the spirit of continuing to use best practices, while in the Iliff building, all occupants are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. While in the building, all occupants are required to practice social distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette, and other Covid-19 health and safety protocols.
Current Students, Staff, and Faculty
You have already provided proof of vaccination and can enter the building using your Iliff ID card to utilize the library during library hours (see below for current operating hours). If you have an urgent need that can not be handled during our hours of operation, we will try to schedule a private appointment to handle your need.
All Other Patrons – Appointments Required
In order to access the library, appointments will be required for all patrons who are not current students, staff, or faculty. Appointments are available every half hour during library operating hours (see below for hours) until 30 mins before closing. These appointments are to grant access to the library building. Once you enter the building, you are welcome to stay up until closing time. If you leave the building before close, you will need to make another appointment to be let back in.
Schedule an Appointment
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment. Please plan to book your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. In your email, include:
- your name
- the date and time you would like to visit the library
- attach your proof of vaccination (e.g. photo of your vaccination card) or indicate that you have already provided it to the library in a previous visit
In your confirmation email, you will receive a link to the COVID-19 screening you must complete within 12 hours of your scheduled visit. Once we confirm your completion of the screening, a library staff member will meet you at the front doors of Iliff at the time of your appointment to grant you access to the library.

The library return bin is accessible outside the Iliff front entrance for book returns. Please allow a week for returns to be processed. Late fees and fines related to recalled items will be waived during this period, but fees for lost items will still be assessed.
Library patrons are encouraged to use the library’s collection of databases, ebooks, and online journals during this time.
